We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Project Manager to join our Project Management Team!

About the role: 

Reporting to the Strategy and Performance Manager as the Senior Project Manager you will successfully lead and deliver strategic projects, programs and portfolio aligned to the SALHN Strategic Plan 2023-2027, by the Project Management Office. Some duties will include;

  • Lead, develop and foster a positive work culture which is based on SA Public Sector and SALHN values and promotes inclusion, empathy, trust and encourages creativity and innovation.
  • Oversee portfolio of projects, programs and highly complex, high impact projects with significant impact on the organisation. 
  • Ensures strategic alignment with organisational goals, manages high-level stakeholder relationship, oversees resource allocation, and ensures robust risk and issue management. 
  • Develop and implements project management framework, procedures and guidelines to enhance project delivery across the organisation. 
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to project staff across the organisation.

Please note: We are expecting interviews to take place on the week of the 13th January 2025. 

About you:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills which demonstrate capacity to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders on a range of sensitive and complex issues to achieve positive outcomes,
  • Think strategically, conceptually, and creatively to analyse and resolve complex organisational problems, at both strategic and operational levels,
  • Demonstrated skills in analysing and interpreting data (whether qualitive or quantitative) with high level format to accommodate the key stakeholder audience,
  • Demonstrated high experience in Project Management and managing complex programs and portfolio's of work, in a complex organisation, and during periods of change.

Please note that this position is multi-classed as either a ASO8, AHP4 or RN3 and classification will be determined by qualifications and experience.
