About the Role:

The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking passionate and skilled Plastic Surgery Consultants to join our Plastic Surgery Unit.

The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is a leading provider of public healthcare services in South Australia.

As a Plastic Surgery Consultant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to patients undergoing plastic and reconstructive surgeries. You will work in a dynamic and supportive environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver the highest standard of care.

Your responsibilities will include assessing and diagnosing patients, performing surgical procedures, developing comprehensive treatment plans and providing pre and post-operative care. You will also participate in quality improvement initiatives, contribute to teaching and training programs and actively engage in research activities.

To be eligible for this position, you must hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent. Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.

The Total Indicative Remuneration figure is calculated taking into account base salary, leave loading and superannuation as well as managerial allowances, professional development or any other allowances where appropriate.

Our Local Health Network Sites and Services:

Lyell McEwin Hospital – The major hospital in the north and north-east for emergency care, complex and multi-day surgery, medicine, obstetrics, paediatrics and outpatient services.

Modbury Hospital – A general hospital with emergency care, elective surgery, medicine, outpatient and sub-acute services, rehabilitation, geriatric and palliative care.
