About the Role

As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will play a key role in providing high-quality nursing and/or midwifery services across a variety of health service settings. This position offers the opportunity to develop from a competent practitioner into a proficient leader, further honing your clinical skills and knowledge. You will be accountable for your own practice, providing guidance and support to less experienced staff, and ensuring the delivery of consistent, evidence-based care to patients.

In this leadership role, you will assist the Nurse Unit Manager (or equivalent) with the day-to-day operations of the ward/unit/service. You will help promote continuity of care and collaborate with other AN/MUMs, while supporting the implementation of practice changes. Additionally, you will contribute to key management responsibilities, including recruitment, performance management, rostering, and financial planning. This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced nurse to take on a more active leadership role in shaping the future of nursing practice within our organisation.

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled professional who meets the following key requirements:

  • Qualifications: Registered or eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with a current practicing certificate.
  • Experience: At least 3 years post-registration experience or classified as a Clinical Nurse, with supervision experience.
