About the role

As an Allied Health Assistant, you will be a key member of our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team, supporting clients with brain injuries to achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life. Working under the guidance of a team of allied health professionals, you will assist in the delivery of rehabilitation programs, helping clients with exercise, mobility activities, and therapeutic groups, all aimed at maximising their potential.

In this role, you will also be responsible for equipment provision and maintenance, as well as assisting clients with self-care tasks. Additionally, you will contribute to maintaining clean and functional therapy areas while providing essential administrative and clinical support as needed. About You

We're looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team as an Allied Health Assistant. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a multidisciplinary team, supporting therapy sessions for clients with diverse needs.

Key Role Requirements:

  • Qualification & Eligibility: Must have completed or be willing to complete a Certificate 3 in Allied Health Assistance.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team, following therapy and medical directions while recognising personal skill limits.
  • Communication & Documentation: Strong communication skills to engage sensitively with clients and staff, maintaining confidentiality, and accurately documenting client progress.
  • Experience & Knowledge: Previous client care experience, particularly with those with disabilities or the elderly, and a basic understanding of medical conditions and rehabilitation processes.  Experience conducting aquatic therapy, or the ability to swim, is highly desirable.
