An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Medical Practitioner, Service Resident Medical Officer and Medical Practitioner, Basic Physician Trainee within the Division of Medicine.

  • Responsible for the delivery of a high quality Medical service to patients within Medical
    Sub-Specialties at Lyell McEwin Hospital

Required to undertake undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and to participate in quality assurance activities of Medical Sub-Specialties

To be eligible for this position, you must:

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Educational/Vocational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration

As per the SA Health Salaried Medical Officers Enterprise Agreement 2022, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12-month allocation as Medical Practitioner will be determined in line with your training and SA Health’s requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills and capabilities. 

The Total Indicative Remuneration figure is calculated taking into account base salary, leave loading and superannuation as well as managerial allowances, professional development or any other allowances where appropriate.

Lyell McEwin Hospital The major hospital in the north and north-east for emergency care, complex and multi-day surgery, medicine, obstetrics, paediatrics and outpatient services.

Modbury Hospital A general hospital with emergency care, elective surgery, medicine, outpatient and sub-acute services, rehabilitation, geriatric and palliative care.
