What you’ll do
As a Theatre Orderly, your key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting medical and nursing staff with patient positioning, transport, and the preparation and maintenance of theatre equipment
• Supporting the setup and operation of essential theatre equipment such as diathermy, lights, and microscopes
• Contributing to cleaning, safety checks, and ensuring theatre areas remain sterile
• Participating in patient care and assisting with emergency situations as part of the team
• Supporting and guiding other staff members, with potential leadership responsibilities as you grow in the role

What we’re looking for

• Completion of an AQF Certificate III relevant to the position, or equivalent experience in a health-related field
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with people from diverse backgrounds
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow instructions and maintain confidentiality
• Previous experience in a care setting, particularly with aged, frail, or disabled persons
• Knowledge of safe working practices and a commitment to customer service principles
