About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Health Information Services team as an Information Release Officer, where you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the release of information to internal and external customers is in accordance with guidelines and ensures internal and external systems and processes are adhered to the confidential, accurate and timely provision of service pertaining to the recording and release of a high volume of complex and sensitive information.
  • Ensuring WCHN responds to Department for Child Protection within timeframe of request.
  • Providing positive customer service experience for our clients and assist them to lodge valid FOI applications.  
  • Ensuring requests are input to relevant data capture system.
  • Liaising with Manager, Release of Information Office to escalate non-compliance of any outstanding requests.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • High level written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in the user of Windows based PC applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and strong work ethic including motivation, enthusiasm, commitment to best practice and continuous improvement and highly developed customer service skills.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines, organise, coordinate, and prioritise large volumes of work.
  • An understanding of administrative processes, systems and equipment that supports the effective operation of an office.
