About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists within CaFHS Outer South Team in Morphett Vale and surrounding areas to join the team as either Therapy - Psychologist or Therapy - Social Worker in a 6-month contract, working in a part -time (0.6 FTE) capacity.

The Women's and Children's Health Network (WCHN) is committed to early intervention and the promotion of child and family health. The Therapy – Psychologist and / or Therapy – Social Worker contributes to this by providing:

  • Specialist psychotherapeutic service to individuals, families, and groups with a focus on parenting in the early years, including infants and children at moderate to high risk.
  • Professional opinion, support and training for Child and Family Health Service (CaFHS) staff in the areas of parent-infant/child relationships, social-emotional health of families, child development, parenting, child protection, assessment and referral. This requires specialist knowledge and skills within a multidisciplinary setting and the Psychologist / and or Social Worker liaises closely with other CaFHS teams and appropriate agencies.

 

About You

You will have:

  • Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification and general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia. Registration must be obtained prior to commencement in position. Or:
  • Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
