This dynamic role as a Medical Oncology Clinical Trial Coordinator offers an exciting opportunity to play a vital part in facilitating cutting-edge cancer research studies. You will coordinate all aspects of clinical trials, ensuring meticulous adherence to protocols and regulatory compliance while providing exceptional support to patients. Through your contributions, you will directly impact the development of potentially life-saving treatments and further advance the field of medical oncology.
 

About the role: 

Reporting to the Research Unit Manager, some of your duties as the Medical Oncology Clinical Trial Coordinator may involve:

  • Being responsible for the day to day management of the Clinical Trials access data base.
  • Liaising with Sponsor companies from initial contact through to study close-out. This includes activities such as: site initiation procedures, SAC HREC submissions, requests for involvement of other FMC Departments (as applicable), financial arrangements and payments, communications, documentation (as required).
  • Maintaining and ensuring appropriate storage of specimens, pharmaceutical stock and trial materials (including archiving and storage of confidential data).

Please note: This position is multi-classed as either MeS1 or ASO5 and classification will be determined by qualifications and/or experience. 

About you:

  • (MeS1) Bachelor Degree in Applied Science, Science or equivalent. 
  • Previous experience in an Oncology environment and in Clinical Trials.
  • Proven experience in advanced statistics, epidemiology, and health economics.
  • Demonstrated experience using and maintaining data bases.
  • Presenting research topics at scientific meetings.
  • Competent in venepuncture and/or processing of biological specimens (bloods).
