As a Trainee Medical Practitioner, you’ll rotate through various clinical departments, working alongside senior clinicians to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to continuous clinical improvement.

You’ll play a pivotal role in patient management, from initial assessments to discharge planning, while actively participating in medical education and training. Your work will be instrumental in supporting our team to maintain the highest standards of safety and patient care, ensuring positive outcomes for the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage patients and collaborate with medical staff on treatment plans.
  • Perform clinical procedures under supervision.
  • Complete discharge summaries and facilitate patient handovers.
  • Contribute to quality improvement and risk management initiatives.
  • Supervise and mentor medical students, assist in their evaluations.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to clinical education.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A Medical Qualification registered with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • At least 1 year post-graduate training, including successful completion of intern or intern-equivalent program.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Commitment to teaching, quality improvement, and adapting to change.
  • Interest in experiencing a rural learning environment and contributing to clinical improvements.
