As the Senior Physiotherapist ACT Research Practitioner you will exercise significant judgement and contribution to the provision of high quality, efficient and evidence based Allied Health services across the Southern Adelaide LHN. Responsibilities may include providing assistance with research trials, collecting data and providing administrative support to the lead researcher to develop evidence based resources to be implemented into the current SALHN Rehabilitation services.

About the role: 

Reporting to the Advanced Practitioner Physiotherapy Ambulatory and Director Physiotherapy, As the Research Practitioner Adherence Counselling, duties for the role may involve:

  • Assisting the activities of the relevant clinical areas in reviewing literature to establish the current state of knowledge, generating and developing research projects and grant applications, including recommending appropriate areas of research, methodology, outcome measures, methods of data collection and recording. 
  • Developing templates and clinical approaches suitable for EPAS which facilitate implementation of best practice in rehabilitation clinics.
  • Providing advice and leading to the decision making process in the development and delivery of sub acute clinical services, health promotion and prevention activities and the development of new initiatives.

About you:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including interpersonal communication.
  • Ability to lead and undertake project management of a complex nature, independently. 
  • Ability to identify and analyse issues, obtain, evaluate and validate information and draw conclusions.
  • Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
