  • Attraction and retention allowance and penalty rates payable in addition to the base salary

About the role

An exciting opportunity to join the SAMI Ultrasound team at the revitalised and expanding Repat Health Precinct.

SAMI RHP is a supportive and dynamic department that is growing with the site. You will be scanning inpatients and outpatients, with a broad case mix including; Obstetrics, Gynae, Vascular, General (inc. Small parts) and MSK.

Participating as a member of the SAMI RHP team you will deliver high level imaging with autonomy and professionalism. Working alongside other clinical, medical and administrative staff to give the best level of care for our patients.

About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Sonographers who are passionate about delivering exceptional medical imaging services. To excel in this role, you will bring:

  • Skills and Abilities: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with patients, colleagues, and support staff. Strong leadership capabilities, including planning and prioritising workload to deliver professional services. Demonstrated initiative in analysing situations and identifying opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of medical imaging services.

  • Experience: Expertise in medical imaging, with proven competence in performing both standard and complex sonographic tasks. The ability to independently and effectively carry out all aspects of ultrasound procedures is essential.

  • Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of sonographic practices and procedures, including specialised methods for adapting and presenting imaging data on the PACS network. Knowledge of human resource principles, Equal Employment Opportunity, and Work Health and Safety practices. Evidence of ongoing professional development and/or postgraduate qualifications relevant to ultrasound.

  • Commitment to Excellence: A dedication to maintaining high professional standards, enhancing team performance, and contributing to the continuous improvement of services within the Ultrasound Department.
