Flinders Medical Centre are seeking a dedicated and skilled Quality Safety & Risk Systems Facilitator to join their Clinical Governance team! 

As an RN3 Quality Safety and Risk Systems Facilitator, you'll play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement and enhancing patient safety across our healthcare network. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing critical guidance to ensure compliance with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards. About the role: 

The Quality, Safety and Risk Unit (Clinical Governance) supports the organisation to deliver high quality, safe care to patients and their families by supporting a number of governance and assurance systems in all sites across the network. As the Quality Safety & Risk Systems Facilitator, you will use your clinical knowledge, expertise and leadership skills to facilitate and lead the improvement of systems and processes which contribute to patient safety and quality outcomes. The role will encourage and support Divisions, Services and professional groups with the implementation of programs, quality improvement activities and innovative approaches that improve and deliver patient safety, quality and risk management of clinical care across SALHN. The role will contribute to the development and implementation of the strategic safety and quality plans to support a generative patient safety culture.

About you:

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds a current practicing certificate. 
  • At least 3 years (clinical) experience post registration as a Registered Nurse. 
  • Demonstrated experience in applying the principles and practice of safety and quality in health care.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and or quality improvement activities.
  • Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation.
