The Senior Project Officer, Infrastructure projects is accountable to the General Manager Infrastructure Procurement and Business Services working under broad direction to independently manage and deliver specific high profile ambulance station rebuilds and new builds in both country and metropolitan locations for the SA Ambulance Service. The role is responsible for the end to end management of specific projects including risk and issue management as well as ensuring communication with stakeholders is optimised.

Key Responsibilities: 

Project Planning and Delivery:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, work plans, and monitor project deliverables to ensure timely and quality outcomes.
- Apply contemporary project management methods and tools to deliver projects effectively.
- Coordinate and provide input into sensitive projects and strategies to achieve agreed outcomes and deadlines.

Projects Team Support:
- Prepare various project-related documents, including status updates, presentations, submissions, and reports for stakeholders.
- Support the coordination and preparation of project documentation to meet Infrastructure SA Gateway reporting obligations.
- Provide general support to the Infrastructure Team in project delivery, governance, financial management, reporting, and communication.

Document Management and Control:
- Coordinate and monitor the follow-up of Committee/Project Team action items to ensure completion and documentation.
- Maintain secure and effective records management systems, including incoming/outgoing correspondence, archiving, and retrieval.
- Develop and implement information systems to ensure appropriate dissemination of information and satisfy audit requirements.

Property/Facilities & Building Management:
- Manage the setup and decommissioning of specific infrastructure assets, assisting in staff relocation as required.
- Prepare accurate scopes for tender requests, procurement plans, and contribute to tender evaluations.
- Provide support to the infrastructure team in property project management and reporting.

Coordinate Consultations with Key Stakeholders:
- Organize and coordinate consultations, site visits, and meetings with various health network stakeholders.
- Ensure effective and respectful engagement of key stakeholders through clear communication and timely responsiveness.
- Undertake sensitive and confidential consultations and negotiations to support investigations and incident management.

Communications and Advice:
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally with stakeholders, including executive and senior management, to achieve project outcomes.
- Build and maintain professional working relationships with internal and external service providers.
- Liaise and collaborate with staff across SA Health in the production of required information
