About the role

As an ASO2 Administrative Officer/Receptionist in the Assessment Services Unit, you will play a key role in providing administrative support and delivering excellent reception services. Your responsibilities will include assisting with administrative tasks at assessment clinics, including typing specialist reports and general practitioner letters generated during clinic visits. You’ll be a crucial point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and providing a customer service-focused experience at every interaction.

About You

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive professional who thrives in a dynamic environment. To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Strong Administrative and Technical Skills: Proven experience in providing confidential administrative support, with advanced keyboard, Dictaphone, and touch-typing skills (60wpm) and proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Abilities: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, general practitioners, specialists, and diverse stakeholders.
  • Self-Motivation and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, prioritise tasks under pressure, and respond appropriately in unusual situations using sound judgement and published procedures.
  • Teamwork and Conflict Resolution Expertise: Experience working collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams, with the ability to resolve conflicts through mediation, negotiation, and effective problem-solving.
