Overview:

Executive coordinators are critical roles within the Department for Health and Wellbeing and make a significant contribution to an Executive's success.

We are recruiting to three vacant positions with 6 to 12 months contracts available each with the possibility of extension:

There is one contract available for six months with the possibility of extension; there are further two contracts available, each for 12 months with the possibility of extension and / or permanency.

These are busy, fast paced roles. We are looking for a highly organised and motivated individuals with a “can do” attitude. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining your Executive’s diary and emails, arranging appointments, screening and where appropriate, handling or redirecting incoming telephone calls and visitors.
  • Draft and track correspondence to relevant Executive Directors and Chief Executive Officers on behalf of your Executive.
  • Developing and maintain strategic links between the Chief Executive’s Office, Minister(s) Office(s), public sector agencies, non-Government agencies and the private sector.
  • Providing appropriate advice across the Division to support efficient communication and timely preparation of information, correspondence and reports for the executive.
  • Reviewing executive papers, notifying your Executive of unresolved and/or emerging issues and undertake research to provide expert advice on appropriate responses.

Criminal History Screening Requirement

  • A National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment)

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact)

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.

  • Proven ability to liaise and collaborate with a range of stakeholders including undertaking sensitive negotiations with senior management and professionals.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing high level executive and/or administrative support and advice including formulating policy positions, processing, coordinating and drafting sensitive, complex and urgent material, and undertaking a range of project and planning work on an individual or team basis.
  • Working knowledge of roles, functions and protocols operating between the department, Office of the Chief Executive and Minister(s) Office(s).
