About the Role

As a Clinical Nurse, you’ll be a key player in delivering person-centred care and providing clinical leadership. You’ll have the opportunity to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment while overseeing patient care plans and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes. Additionally, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the development of less experienced staff and assisting with the coordination of services.

This role offers a perfect balance of clinical responsibilities and leadership opportunities, including the chance to develop your own portfolio and contribute to organisational projects and change management initiatives.  Key responsibilities:

  • Provide proficient clinical nursing care to patients, focusing on person-centred and individualised case management.
  • Monitor and assess patient care plans to ensure quality outcomes are achieved.
  • Oversee nursing/midwifery care within your team and provide leadership for shift-to-shift operations.
  • Support the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager in a range of clinical, educational, and management activities.
  • Participate in clinical teaching, mentoring new staff and students, and supporting professional development.
  • Contribute to clinical research, audits, and the development of clinical guidelines and protocols.
  • Lead and promote a learning culture and assist with maintaining portfolios and records of learning.

What We’re Looking For

  • Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years of full-time equivalent post-registration experience.
  • A strong commitment to delivering high-quality nursing care in accordance with relevant standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to mentor and support less experienced staff.
  • A passion for continuing professional development and contributing to a culture of learning.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
