About the role

Are you an organised and detail-oriented professional looking to make a difference in a healthcare environment? As an Administrative Officer with SA Medical Imaging (SAMI), you will play a vital role in providing efficient administrative support to the Campus Operations Manager, Office Manager, and both internal and external stakeholders. Working individually or as part of a small team, you may be rostered across various administrative areas on a rotating 7-day roster, ensuring seamless operations across the service.

Your primary responsibilities will include general administrative tasks, patient identification, and data entry into the Radiology Information System (RIS). You’ll also manage scheduling for medical imaging services, interpret medical imaging terminology, and communicate preparation details to patients and referrers according to SA Medical Imaging guidelines. Additionally, you’ll facilitate the provision of reports and images via various formats, supporting the delivery of high-quality medical imaging services to patients and healthcare providers.

About You

We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Administrative Officer. You will bring strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and a commitment to maintaining high personal and professional standards. Key requirements include:

  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to communicate effectively with staff and the general public from diverse backgrounds, while maintaining confidentiality and presenting a calm, helpful demeanour.
  • Organisational and Time Management: Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, prioritise tasks, and deliver high volumes of work accurately under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Administrative Expertise: Experience providing administrative support, including reception duties, records management, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and databases.
  • Adaptability and Teamwork: Flexibility to adapt to departmental changes and positively contribute to a multidisciplinary team environment while upholding high professional standards.
