About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the CAMHS team as a Service Manager, where you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and promoting partnerships and integration across multiple teams, collaborating with government, non-government, private providers, consumers, and carers.
  • Providing strategic leadership, governance, and expert advice to the CAMHS Executive on state-wide service provision.
  • Partnering with Psychiatrists and Clinical Coordinators to manage and coordinate CAMHS multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Overseeing line management, team procedures, and resource management to ensure safe, effective, and consistent practices.
  • Supporting positive team performance and work cultures to achieve optimal client outcomes.
  • Leading the development and implementation of service-wide policies for best practice in mental health care for children, adolescents, and their families.
  • Working within national mental health policies and standards, aligning with the Vision and Values of WCHN.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution, negotiation, managing through change and ability to foster a workforce environment that develops staff potential.
  • Demonstrated experience in management and leadership roles in a multidisciplinary context
  • Proven ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines, whilst working under minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to participate in and contribute to key decision making processes at a senior level.
  • Demonstrated ability in leading and promoting consumer engagement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability in the facilitation of change management.
