  • Temporary up to 30/6/27 and part-time working 18.75 hours per week

About the Role

As a Tuberculosis Service Consultant with the SA Tuberculosis Program, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality clinical and public health services to patients referred to the Department of Thoracic Medicine. Your expertise will directly contribute to the management and treatment of tuberculosis, ensuring the best outcomes for patients in our care. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, utilising your skills to enhance service delivery and promote best practices in clinical care.

In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will actively engage in research and teaching activities, both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of tuberculosis management while fostering the next generation of healthcare professionals. Your work will support the continuous development and improvement of existing programs, contributing to the broader goals of public health and clinical excellence in tuberculosis care.

About You

We are seeking a passionate and highly skilled Tuberculosis Service Consultant with the following key qualities:

  • Essential Qualifications: MBBS (or equivalent) and Specialist Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Authority.
  • Clinical Expertise: Proven clinical excellence in tuberculosis management and public health, with a commitment to quality patient care.
  • Communication & Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating leadership in patient care.
  • Commitment to Growth: Dedication to professional development, research, and teaching, alongside a proactive approach to quality improvement and continuous learning.
