Hawker Memorial Hospital

The Hawker Memorial Hospital consists of a 13 bed facility which includes 4 acute and 9 aged care beds as part of the Flinders Ranges Multi-Purpose Service (MPS). The hospital provides accident and emergency services, general medical care, palliative care and a range of allied health services.  We have a dedicated team who are compassionate, caring and highly professional individuals. About the Role:

Are you looking to make a positive impact in a supportive and dynamic healthcare environment? We are seeking a dedicated Services Assistant to join our team, ensuring our health unit runs smoothly and efficiently. In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering high-quality food and maintaining a clean, safe space for clients and staff. Your responsibilities will include food preparation, service and delivery, general housekeeping, and laundry duties, all aimed at enhancing the experience and well-being of those we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide catering services, including food preparation, delivery, and presentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the health unit.
  • Support with laundry duties as required.
  • Ensure safe food handling and infection control processes are followed.

 

About You:

  • Limited experience in housekeeping, catering, or laundry roles.
  • Basic knowledge of safe working conditions, food safety, and infection control.
  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic computer tasks.
  • Understanding of Work Health and Safety Act and risk management principles.
