We have an exciting opportunity for an Aboriginal Social and Emotional Wellbeing Worker (Direct Care HCP) to assist elderly, frail, and disabled people to remain in their homes with dignity and care. Your role will directly contribute to South Australia’s goals for Aboriginal employment and closing the gap in health outcomes, while making a tangible difference to the lives of individuals and families.

In this rewarding position, you will provide vital assistance to clients under the Home Care Package, ensuring they feel supported, respected, and connected to their culture and community. Your experience and cultural knowledge will help maintain a high level of care, promoting independence and wellbeing for those who need it most.

About You:

  • Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent
  • Strong connections to and respect within Aboriginal communities
  • Proven ability to work in a culturally sensitive and accountable manner
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work with diverse communities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, meet deadlines, and collaborate within a team
