About the Role

As a Respiratory Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional clinical care in Respiratory Medicine, ensuring high standards of practice and patient outcomes. You will play a key role in supervising and training medical undergraduates and postgraduate trainees, fostering the next generation of healthcare professionals. Your expertise will also extend to respiratory procedural work, requiring advanced technical skills and the ability to manage complex cases with confidence and precision.

In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will be actively involved in clinical research, contributing to advancements in Respiratory Medicine. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a significant impact both in patient care and the development of future medical practitioners, all while engaging in ground breaking research in the field.

About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Respiratory Consultant with a strong commitment to patient care, education, and teamwork. The ideal candidate will possess the following key qualifications, skills, and experience:

  • Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, with specialist qualifications and registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, train, and communicate effectively with staff, patients, and the community.
  • Proven experience in respiratory practice, with expertise in respiratory procedural work and clinical practice.
  • Strong interest in education, research, and community involvement, with the ability to generate enthusiasm and drive in both medical and non-medical staff.
