About the role

Are you passionate about optimising patient outcomes and delivering exceptional pharmacy services? As the designated project pharmacist, you will be responsible for delivering specific projects in the Department of Palliative Care in SALHN. This dynamic role involves providing a high-level range of pharmacy services, exercising independent judgement, and delivering expert medicines information and therapeutic advice to patients, medical and nursing staff, and other health professionals. Your work will align with hospital policies and professional standards, ensuring safe and effective pharmaceutical practices.

About You

We are looking for a skilled and motivated professional to lead and innovate in the delivery of high-quality pharmacy services. To succeed in this role, you’ll combine extensive pharmacy expertise with exceptional leadership and communication abilities.

  • Skills and Abilities: Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines in a complex environment. Proven leadership skills to inspire teams and implement strategies for service improvement.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in hospital pharmacy practice, complemented by leadership, supervisory, or management experience.
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of pharmacy practice standards, codes of practice, and a commitment to delivering professional and technically competent services.
  • Teamwork and Training: Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team while supervising, educating, and training both professional and non-professional staff.
