 An exciting opportunity exists within the Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Stream for an Advanced Practitioner Physiotherapist to join us on an ongoing basis, working in a part-time capacity!

About the role: 

Reporting to the Director of Physiotherapy as the Advanced Practitioner Physiotherapist duties for the role will include:

  • Providing expert clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning and management planning advice for senior nursing staff and Orthopaedic trainees
  • Providing expert clinical supervision and mentoring to senior and junior physiotherapy staff
  • Ensure the effective management of human, financial and physical assets through appropriate planning and allocation of resources to achieve agreed Division / Unit / Ward / Service and strategic plans
  • Facilitating and coordinating the Orthopaedic and Musculoskeletal undergraduate and post-graduate Physiotherapy student clinical placements in DivRAP and as required, liaise with Academic staff at the Universities

About you:

  • Demonstrated very high levels of professional autonomy
  • Ability to provide professional leadership, and an up-to-date approach to physiotherapy
  • An advanced level of musculoskeletal assessment, differential diagnostic and management skills
  • Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy which entitles registration with the Physiotherapy Board of South Australia
  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant physiotherapy field
  • Proven experience in delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards
