Are you an experienced mental health nurse with a passion for leading clinical excellence? The Eyre and Far North Local Health Network is looking for a skilled Nurse Consultant Mental Health Clinician to join our dynamic Community Mental Health Team. In this role, you’ll provide expert nursing care and leadership to support the recovery of mental health consumers across a range of settings, including community, acute, and rehabilitation services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert clinical mental health nursing care to support recovery.
  • Offer clinical leadership to nursing teams, guiding practice and decision-making.
  • Lead projects and programs to improve consumer outcomes and service delivery.
  • Promote consumer engagement and lead change management initiatives.
  • Foster staff development and create a positive, innovative work environment.
  • Engage with Aboriginal communities in a culturally appropriate manner.
  • Ensure clinical practices align with policies, standards, and legislative requirements.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Registered or eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and holds or is eligible for a current practicing certificate.
  • Holds a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing (or equivalent).
  • Proven leadership skills in communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams and students.
  • Experience in mental health nursing, with a focus on Aboriginal community engagement.
  • Knowledge of mental health practice, legislation, and safety standards.
  • Strong skills in prioritising workload, managing timelines, and driving change.
