SA Health is seeking a passionate and experienced leader to take on the pivotal role of Director Aboriginal Health Strategy and Innovation at the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network. This full-time, ongoing position offers an exceptional opportunity to make a lasting impact on the health and well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

As the Director Aboriginal Health Strategy and Innovation, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health-related policies and services across the Local Health Network. You will play a crucial role in creating partnerships and developing systematic approaches to address the unique health needs of these communities.

Collaborating closely with the Director Aboriginal Mental Health and Cultural Lead, as well as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members and service providers, you will drive continuous quality improvement initiatives and enhance integrated patient-centred care. Your expertise will significantly contribute to organisational and service development, staff engagement, and the delivery of culturally responsive healthcare services.

In this leadership position, you will co-lead the development and implementation of Action Plans that support the Local Health Network's Reconciliation Action Plan, Aboriginal Health improvement plans, and Closing the Gap initiatives. Your strategic vision will expand concepts and programs, fostering innovative approaches to address the health disparities faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Effective community consultation and the establishment of strong internal and external partnerships will be key to your success. You will be responsible for ensuring appropriate models of community consultation are implemented and for enhancing shared responsibility agreements to further improve health outcomes.

As the responsible officer for the delivery against the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander specific Key Performance Indicators contained within the Service Agreement between the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network and the Department of Health and Wellbeing, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the achievement of the Local Health Network's Strategic Directions and obligations.
