Are you a skilled, compassionate nurse with a passion for leadership in aged care? Crestview Hostel is seeking an experienced Associate Nurse Unit Manager to support the delivery of high-quality care to our residents. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a key leadership role, contributing to the management and development of our nursing team while enhancing patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Nurse Unit Manager in leading a team of nurses in providing high-quality care to aged care residents.
  • Promote continuity and consistency of care across shifts, ensuring a seamless experience for both residents and staff.
  • Help implement practice changes, improve clinical processes, and ensure safe, effective care.
  • Manage ward/unit/service operations, including staffing, rostering, performance management, and financial planning.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff, ensuring their growth in clinical and leadership competencies.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A Registered Nurse eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a current practising certificate.
  • At least 3 years of post-registration experience in nursing, or currently a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities to support a multidisciplinary team.
  • A proactive communicator with problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant healthcare legislation, quality improvement, and contemporary nursing/midwifery issues.
