  • Full Time 37.5 hours per week, Temporary up to 12 months

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the HaRTSS division as a Social Worker. In this role you will be responsible for helping individuals, families and communities overcome challenges and improve their well-being. This also includes:

  • Effective delivery of social work services to people of all genders, 16 years and over, who have been subjected to a rape or sexual assault.
  • Assist with the management of issues such as trauma, mental health, substance abuse and family problems.
  • Contribute to and support a range of research initiatives and projects.

About you:

  • Have the qualification of a Degree in social and health sciences or public health/primary health care or eligibility for membership of a professional association (desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience working in crisis and trauma situations
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and contribute towards a cohesive team culture
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide crisis and long-term counselling and group work services
  • Feminist and human rights frameworks for understanding and responding to sexual violence and abuse, including intimate partner violence, childhood sexual abuse, rape and sexual assault
  • A high level of written and oral communication skills including proven ability to communicate effectively with people from a wide range of backgrounds
