Join our dedicated team as a Services Assistant, where you’ll play a key role in ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for our health unit. You will provide vital support by assisting with catering, cleaning, and laundry duties, all while contributing to the overall wellbeing of patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, serve, and deliver meals to patients, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness within the health unit, including patient rooms and common areas.
  • Undertake laundry duties to ensure a clean and comfortable environment for all.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team, providing support as needed.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently, meeting deadlines and required timeframes.

  • A team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to varying work environments and schedules.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Able to maintain discretion and confidentiality in a healthcare setting.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety, infection control, and safe working practices.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other office applications.
  • Limited experience in catering, housekeeping, or laundry is ideal.

Important Information

This is a part time vacancy, working 20 hours per week and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.

  • DHS National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Check

  • Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category B
