The Service Delivery & Business Administration Services branch focuses on improving the reliability and performance of DHSA services and ensures these services remain aligned to changing customer needs.  Business unit accountabilities include service level management, incident and problem management, enterprise systems monitoring, cyber and information security services, continuous improvement, demand management, workforce planning, human resources, procurement, finance and budgets, training and development and facilities management.

About the role

This role will sit in the Business Transformation Unit and will be ‘outplaced’ to the Service Delivery & Business Administration Services branch to be take responsibility for the security operations centre, business capability model and other key projects associated with the splunk platform.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and coordinate complex Digital Health projects to meet objectives and deadlines.
  • Collaborate on project plans, goals, and reporting within the Digital Health Portfolio.
  • Ensure projects align with departmental policies, objectives, and quality standards.
  • Develop processes for timely service delivery and quality assurance compliance.
  • Manage project resources, budgets, and staffing to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee contract management, including supplier negotiations and procurement compliance.
  • Foster stakeholder engagement and collaboration to drive Digital Health initiatives forward.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with:

 

  • Exceptional ability to plan, lead, implement, and manage multiple complex projects aligned with corporate objectives while considering operational, political, financial, and strategic factors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, capable of identifying, analysing, and executing solutions, along with producing high-level reports.
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills, building strong relationships with stakeholders and clients, negotiating successful outcomes, and maintaining professionalism and ethics.
  • Adaptable to change, leading and evaluating change initiatives, applying new ideas, and managing competing priorities.
  • Extensive experience managing projects, staff, business plans, and multi-million dollar budgets within large, complex organisations.
  • Proven track record in providing expert advisory and consultation services at a senior level, interpreting and applying policies and legislation.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, change management practices, and administrative processes in complex organisations.
