Women’s and Children’s Health Network (WCHN) is searching for a passionate leader to join Youth Women’s Safety Wellbeing Division (YWSWD) team during an exciting time of growth and innovation. As the leading provider of specialist care for children, women, babies, and young people in SA, WCHN offers state-of-the-art healthcare and a wide range of community-based services that reach families across the state. We also provides important community-based services of which Metropolitan Youth Health is an integral part.

Metropolitan Youth Health provides free clinical health services (primarily for physical health issues) to young people aged 12-25, with a focus on under 18 years, in the Adelaide metropolitan-wide community.

Metropolitan Youth Health work with extremely vulnerable young people under the Guardianship of the CE, young people who have had contact with Adelaide Youth Training Centre, refugees, LGBTIQ identifying youth, young Aboriginal people and young pregnant or parenting people who would not normally access mainstream services.

The Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Metropolitan Youth Health team as a Medical Consultant (MOC1-3) on a casual contract.

In the role of Medical Consultant, you will be focus on:

  • Collaborative Approach: Strengthen the support network within communities by involving young people and their families in service provision.
  • Quality Standards:  Dedicated focus on quality, professional standards, and proactive risk management to enhance our services to meet and exceed expectations.
  • Medical Casework: Ensure service is meticulously designed, delivered with precision, and evaluated to guarantee that it meets the highest standards of effectiveness.
