Overview:

  • The Principal Lead Evidence and Performance is responsible for delivering on commitments under Closing the Gap Priority Reform Four: Data and Information Sharing and system-wide transformation. This role provides leadership across SA health on how to design and deliver data analysis and reporting systems to enable transparent monitoring and accountability on Aboriginal health internal and external outcomes.
  • This role support connection across the health system to make sure approaches to data and information sharing are informed through effective engagements and shared decision-making with Aboriginal representatives through partnership mechanisms, ultimately leading to the delivery of better healthcare for Aboriginal peoples.
  • The role provides systemwide leadership in Aboriginal health outcome data, evaluation and research matters and builds capacity across the system in relation to data governance, measurement, collection, analysis and reporting methods, ensuring the alignment of data practices and standards with Indigenous Data Sovereignty and Indigenous Data Governance principles.
  • The role works closely with Aboriginal Health Unit Leadership Team and other internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities to strengthen the strategic use of data across the system to build system intelligence to make sure performance is accountable, evaluations are robust, and evidence is appropriately collected and used to support engagement and partnership activities with Aboriginal peoples on Aboriginal health priorities, policy development and decision-making.

Criminal History Screening Requirement

  • A National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment)

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.

Special Conditions

  • Inter and intrastate travel will be required.
