  • Salary $104,180.00 - $111,746.00 (Pro Rata) AHP3 | Part Time 11.25 hours per week – Contract Until March 2026 - Additional hours throughout year intermittently available 

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Physiotherapist to join our Women's and Children's Team.

About the role: 

As the Senior Physiotherapist - Paediatrics you will apply clinical expertise and experience to optimise outcomes of physiotherapy services in the Paediatric Unit Ward, Neonatal Ward and the Outpatients which includes the Children's Assessment Unit.

Duties for the role will include:

  • Assess, manage, discharge plan as well as actively engage with patients and/or their family/carers in care planning and goal setting to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Contribute to the effectiveness of the multidisciplinary clinical teams relevant to the Paediatrics area. This may include formation and review of relevant clinical objectives, policies and procedures in consultation with other clinical units and/or departments
  • Provide line supervision to clinical staff members including physiotherapists, assistants and where appropriate administrative staff allocated to the Paediatrics work area seeking assistance from the AH Service Manager for complex matters when required
  • Engage and liaise with external organisations on clinical issues to ensure appropriate patient care is delivered across the continuum of care

About you:

  • Ability to work effectively as a clinical leader within paediatric physiotherapy and multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience in managing complex paediatric clinical situations with minimal professional supervision
  • Substantial experience in staff or student supervision
  • Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy which entitles full registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
  • Proven experience in delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards
