About the role: 

Reporting to the Research Governance Officer the Project Officer is accountable for ensuring the efficient and effective review of research and quality improvement projects submitted to the Research Hub within a framework of ethical, legal and regulatory and corporate governance.

Duties for the role will include:

  • Undertaking data extraction and analysis which will contribute content for reports to SA Health, SALHN’s Board of Directors and other external stakeholders
  • Coordinating the review of research and quality assurance applications submitted for ethics and governance review in a timely manner
  • Processing research contracts
  • Preparing agendas and minutes to ethics and governance meetings
  • Providing oversight of the Research Hub Research Management Database

About you:

  • Demonstrated experience in showing attention to detail and accurate reporting of information
  • Demonstrated organisational and administrative skills with the ability to plan, co-ordinate, document and carry out tasks through to completion
  • Proven understanding of research ethics and governance processes
  • Experience in research or ethics roles in a healthcare setting that demonstrates a sound knowledge of research requirements in Australia
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
