About the Role

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Mental Health Nurses to join our team and deliver high-quality, consumer-centred care within a dynamic health service environment. In this role, you will provide direct and comprehensive nursing services, developing your practice from novice to proficient through ongoing professional development and experience. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of care, ensuring safe delegation of tasks, and actively contributing to a supportive and collaborative team culture.

Working within the framework of the National Mental Health Policy and National Standards, and aligned with the values of SA Health, you will provide case management, education, counselling, and group work to promote recovery and optimal consumer health outcomes. Guided by or in consultation with Level 2/3 Mental Health Nurses, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team and community partners to deliver holistic and person-centred care, making a real difference in the lives of individuals and their families.

About You

You are a motivated and skilled mental health nurse who is passionate about providing high-quality care and making a real impact. To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Current registration with the Nursing Board of Australia and a post-graduate qualification in mental health nursing

  • Strong clinical skills and experience in delivering evidence-based mental health nursing care

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to consumer and carer participation

  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, professional standards, and contemporary mental health frameworks
