About the Role

As a Senior Occupational Therapist within the CO-ACT team at Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN), you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. Working as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for the daily management, coordination, and supervision of Occupational Therapy services, ensuring best-practice interventions that support positive clinical outcomes. Your expertise will help shape service delivery, advocate for patients, and drive continuous improvement through education, quality initiatives, and innovative planning.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to clinical leadership, mentoring, and professional supervision while fostering a culture of excellence in Occupational Therapy. You will collaborate with senior clinicians, contribute to research and service evaluation, and represent CO-ACT in key committees and working groups. About You

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Occupational Therapist who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and driving best practice within a multidisciplinary team. To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Qualifications & Experience – A recognised degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia. Extensive experience in adult rehabilitation across acute, sub-acute, and community settings, with a strong foundation in client-centred care and complex case management.
  • Leadership & Teamwork – Proven ability to lead, mentor, and supervise staff while fostering a collaborative team environment across multiple disciplines. Experience in service development, quality improvement, and professional leadership within an evolving healthcare landscape.
  • Clinical Expertise & Problem-Solving – Strong clinical reasoning and professional judgment in managing complex health conditions, including neurological, orthopaedic, and psychosocial presentations. Ability to assess, implement, and evaluate interventions that support patient recovery and independence.
  • Communication & Organisational Skills – Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, carers, and healthcare professionals. Excellent time management, adaptability, and problem-solving skills to navigate changing service needs and priorities.
