The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking a driven and eco-conscious Environmental Sustainability Manager to join our team within the Corporate Services division. This role is an exciting opportunity to drive positive change and shape a greener future for our healthcare facilities.

The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is a leading provider of public healthcare services in South Australia.

As the Environmental Sustainability Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing strategies that promote environmental sustainability across NALHN. Your expertise will guide our efforts in reducing our ecological footprint, streamlining resource utilisation and fostering a culture of environmental awareness within our healthcare community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • develop and implement comprehensive environmental sustainability strategies and policies aligned with NALHN's vision and objectives
  • collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to identify opportunities for eco-friendly initiatives and resource optimisation
  • conduct audits and assessments to evaluate the environmental impact of NALHN's operations and implement measures to mitigate adverse effects
  • promote sustainable practices through education, awareness campaigns, and training programs for staff and patients
  • monitor and report on environmental performance metrics, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
  • explore innovative solutions and emerging technologies to enhance our environmental sustainability efforts
