Mount Gambier and Districts Health Service is seeking a passionate Nurse / Midwife Consultant – Cancer Care Coordinator to deliver expert clinical care, drive service innovation, and lead multidisciplinary collaboration for improved patient outcomes across the Limestone Coast.

In this highly autonomous role, you’ll coordinate cancer care services, contribute clinical leadership, and shape care pathways for individuals and populations. You’ll advocate for best practice, integrate evidence into clinical decision-making, and support system-wide improvements through education, mentoring, and research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver expert, person-centred cancer care and therapeutic interventions
  • Lead nursing practice within cancer care and guide quality improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary care across hospital and community settings
  • Support complex discharge planning and continuity of care
  • Mentor, educate and build capability across the workforce

What We’re Looking For

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with at least three (3) years post registration experience and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate
  • Demonstrated expertise in cancer care, leadership and education
  • Strong clinical judgement, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage change and drive service improvement
  • Knowledge of safety standards, clinical governance, and nursing frameworks
