About the Role

We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Pharmacist to join our dynamic General Medical Unit. In this pivotal role, you’ll take the lead in organising, managing, and operating a designated pharmacy area while delivering a comprehensive and high-level range of pharmacy services. You’ll work both independently and collaboratively, providing expert medicines information and therapeutic advice to patients, as well as supporting medical, nursing and allied health staff. Your clinical judgement and advanced practice skills will play a vital role in ensuring the safe, effective, and evidence-based use of medicines throughout the unit.

As a Senior Pharmacist, you’ll be instrumental in optimising patient outcomes by driving best-practice strategies in the quality use of medicines. You’ll be empowered to influence decision-making and contribute to the development of clinical protocols, all while working within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment. About You

You’re a confident and motivated pharmacy professional with a strong clinical foundation, a passion for patient-centred care, and a proven ability to lead in a complex healthcare environment. You thrive in collaborative, fast-paced settings and bring both strategic insight and hands-on experience to your role.

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • Relevant qualifications and registration – Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and registration (or eligibility) with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills – Excellent interpersonal and written communication, along with demonstrated ability to lead, supervise and mentor staff.

  • Extensive hospital pharmacy experience – A solid background in hospital pharmacy practice, with proven knowledge of professional standards, codes of practice, and quality service delivery.

  • Analytical and organisational strengths – Highly developed problem-solving, research, and data analysis skills, with the ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a complex environment.
