About the role

The EFNLHN pharmacy team is based in Port Lincoln, and also provides clinical pharmacy services to multiple acute hospital sites in EFNLHN including Coober Pedy, Ceduna, Cleve, Cowell, Cummins, Elliston, Kimba, Streaky Bay and Wudinna. Flexible work arrangements can be considered. 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced pharmacist to lead the organisation, management, and operation of a designated pharmacy area. In this vital role, you will deliver a comprehensive, high-level range of pharmacy services, exercising independent and autonomous judgement in providing medicines information and therapeutic advice to patients, medical staff, nursing teams, and other health professionals. Your practice will adhere to hospital and divisional policies, professional standards, and guidelines governing contemporary pharmacy services.

You will play a crucial role in optimising patient outcomes by implementing safe, effective, and cost-efficient pharmaceutical strategies. With a strong focus on the quality use of medicines, you will ensure that patients receive the highest standard of care while also supporting the safe and sustainable use of resources. About You

You are a motivated and skilled pharmacy professional who excels in delivering high-quality clinical services, leading teams, and driving service improvement initiatives.

  • You possess excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in complex environments.

  • You bring extensive experience in hospital pharmacy practice, along with proven leadership, supervisory, and staff education capabilities across multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

  • You demonstrate strong research and data analysis skills, with a commitment to developing, implementing, and leading strategies that enhance pharmacy service delivery.

  • You are professionally and technically competent in pharmacy practice, with comprehensive knowledge of relevant codes of practice, standards, and contemporary healthcare principles.
