About the role

Are you passionate about delivering high-quality pathology services and keen to make a real impact in a regional laboratory setting? As a Technical Officer (TGO2), you’ll play a key role in supporting a multi-disciplinary pathology team, applying your technical expertise and judgment to research, operational, and project programs. Whether working independently or leading small technical projects, you'll contribute to the efficiency and excellence of diagnostic services that support patient care and medical research.

In this dynamic role, you’ll utilise your technical skills to assess and recommend equipment, processes, and procedures while also taking on supervisory responsibilities within the team. Your ability to provide detailed reports and contribute to continuous improvement will be valued as we strive to enhance laboratory operations. About You

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled professional with a strong background in laboratory operations. You will bring a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to high-quality work.

  • Qualifications & Experience – Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a recognised qualification, along with demonstrated experience in a laboratory setting, including troubleshooting and client interaction.

  • Technical & Analytical Skills – Strong knowledge of diagnostic laboratory practices, quality principles, and Work Health and Safety regulations, with the ability to manage workloads efficiently.

  • Communication & Leadership – Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to supervise, train, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.

  • Problem-Solving & Initiative – Ability to work under limited supervision, use various computer software, and apply initiative to solve challenges while delivering high-quality outcomes.
