We’re looking for health professionals to join us as we open a new, state-of-the-art Mental Health Rehabilitation Service (MHRS) at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (TQEH).

About the Role

As a Senior Dietitian at the MHRS, you will play a vital role in providing expert nutrition and dietetic care to consumers within a specialised mental health rehabilitation setting. You will work collaboratively with inpatient, community, and rehabilitation services to support consumer recovery, improve quality of life, and enhance social inclusion. In this highly specialised role, you will apply advanced clinical knowledge to develop and implement evidence-based dietetic interventions, provide consultancy to the multidisciplinary team and food services, and contribute to service development, quality improvement, and research initiatives.

About You

You are a dedicated and skilled Senior Dietitian with a passion for supporting consumers in their recovery journey within a mental health rehabilitation setting. Your ability to apply evidence-based nutrition care, collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to service improvement will be essential to your success in this role.

  • Qualified Expertise – You hold a recognised qualification in Dietetics and are eligible for full membership with Dietitians Australia.
  • Strong Clinical Skills – You have experience in a relevant clinical nutrition and dietetics specialty, with the ability to assess, develop, and implement individualised nutritional care plans.
  • Collaborative & Organised – You excel in teamwork, have strong communication and leadership skills, and can work effectively with staff at all levels.
  • Commitment to Best Practice – You demonstrate a sound understanding of recovery-oriented and trauma-informed care principles, with a focus on continuous improvement and evidence-based practice.
