Join SA Health's dedicated team at the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) as an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (EN) specializing in Preventing and Minimising the Harm from Drug and Alcohol Use (PDDI)

About the role: 

Reporting to the Manager of ADIS, you will be part of the SALHN Drug and Alcohol Services unit, providing exceptional care to individuals facing substance abuse and addiction challenges. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those seeking recovery and support. Duties for the role will include:

  • Assisting in the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care within the Drug and Alcohol Services unit.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Providing compassionate support and education to patients and their families throughout the recovery journey.
  • Adhering to SA Health's policies, protocols, and best practices to ensure the highest standards of care.

About you:

  • Registered or eligible for registration as an Enrolled Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • Possess sound computing skills, including the use of MS Office products, data entry and the use and maintenance of information systems to support service delivery.
  • Proven effective verbal and written communication skills, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
