• Classification - MDP2 - Medical Practitioner - $89,253 to $144,291

• Full time - Term Contract 

As per the SMOEA 2022, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12 month Burns Service Registrar allocation will be determined in line with your training and SA Health's requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills and capabilities.

About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join as a Burns Surgical Services Registrar responsible for:

• Contribute to the clinical care of Burns inpatients and outpatients of WCH under consultant supervision as a surgery trainee medical officer.
• Demonstrate a commitment to clinical teaching and participate in associated research projects.
• Participate in the after-hours roster for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent,
• Registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner
• Clinical skills appropriate for duties in Burns Operating Theatres, Outpatient Clinics and Ward activities
• Understanding both the rights and responsibilities of patients and their families.
• Demonstrated commitment to providing a quality service to the patient.
• Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary setting.
• Communicate, both verbally and in writing, to a wide range of people on a range of sensitive and complex issues.
