About the role: 

Reporting to the Manager of Community & Ambulatory Palliative Care and the Director of Social Work (DivRAP), some of your duties may involve:

  • Independently assessing clients’ abilities, problems and needs using a variety of formal and informal assessments as needed.
  • Documenting assessment findings and interventions in accordance with service standards.
  • Participating in the interdisciplinary  management of patients within the service.

About you:

  • A degree or equivalent in Social Work, entitling membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
  • Experience as a social worker in a health setting.
  • Experience in the training of students and less experienced staff.
  • Demonstrated competence in the application of a wide range of assessment and therapeutic interventions to clients with complex needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide social work clinical services as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Ability to critically analyse or evaluate issues related to clinical care in social work in a manner which can be applied to quality activities, service evaluation or research.
