  • Part time, 15 hours (2 days) per week - Thursday/Friday, contract role to 3 May 2026

About the Role

We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Pharmacist Team Leader – Dispensary to join our Pharmacy Department in a key leadership role. You’ll be responsible for leading a team of pharmacists, technicians, assistants and administrative staff, ensuring high-quality, safe and efficient pharmacy services within the dispensary. In this dynamic position, you'll act as a central point of contact for clinicians and service units, providing expert guidance and ensuring compliance with Medication Management directives, policies and procedures.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to drive service excellence through staff development, performance reviews, mentoring and ongoing practice reviews. You’ll take the lead in developing and evaluating workplace policies and procedures, contribute to service-wide initiatives through a dedicated portfolio, and collaborate closely with fellow team leaders and Deputy Directors of Pharmacy. About You

You’re an experienced, adaptable, and solutions-focused pharmacist who thrives in leadership roles and is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. With a strong clinical foundation and proven management skills, you're ready to guide and inspire a multidisciplinary team within a fast-paced hospital environment.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Relevant qualifications and registration – Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and current or eligible registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
  • Proven leadership and management experience – Extensive hospital pharmacy experience with demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, and support staff within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills – Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication, time management, and attention to detail within a complex clinical setting.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities – Skilled in change management, service improvement, and data-driven decision-making, with sound knowledge of relevant professional standards.
