About the Role

AHP-2  We’re seeking a dedicated and empathetic Occupational Therapist to join our collaborative, multi-disciplinary team within the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN). In this rewarding role, you will deliver comprehensive palliative care occupational therapy services to patients, their families, and carers—supporting quality of life and dignity at the end of life. Your work will be patient-centred, with a strong focus on compassionate care, functional support, and tailored interventions that enable individuals to live as fully and comfortably as possible during their palliative journey.

In addition to providing hands-on clinical care, you’ll actively contribute to the development of CALHN’s palliative care practices and policies, assist with service planning and quality improvement initiatives, and support ongoing education within the team. You will also play a vital role in supervision and mentoring, guiding junior Occupational Therapists, Allied Health Assistants, and students across various stages of their training. AHP-3  We’re seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Occupational Therapist to join the Central Adelaide Palliative Care Service (CAPCS) team. In this dynamic and rewarding role, you’ll be a vital member of a multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality occupational therapy services across CAPCS, the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN), and our partnering Level 4 and Level 2 Palliative Care services throughout South Australia. You’ll lead clinical practice informed by the latest evidence, participate in service development and quality improvement activities, and advocate for the unique needs of palliative care patients—making a meaningful difference in their lives every day.

As a senior clinician, you’ll provide leadership, mentorship, and clinical supervision to fellow occupational therapists and allied health assistants, while playing an active role in clinical education. You’ll contribute to statewide and national initiatives shaping the future of occupational therapy in palliative care, lead research and evaluation projects, and manage a portfolio that supports innovation and service excellence across CALHN.
