Join Our Team as a Direct Care Worker: Provide Compassionate Care to Residents in Our Residential Care Home

Are you passionate about providing direct care and making a difference in the lives of others? We are seeking a dedicated Direct Care Worker (Residential) to join our team and provide high-quality care to residents in our Residential Care Home.

About the Role:

The Direct Care Worker (Residential) will be responsible for delivering direct client services to the residents of the Residential Care Home. Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager and Hotel Services Manager, you will work closely with health professionals as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Your role will be essential in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our residents, supporting them with daily activities, and fostering a caring environment.

As a Direct Care Worker (Residential), you will:

  • Assist in providing daily personal care and support to residents.
  • Work collaboratively with health professionals and contribute to the residents’ care plans.
  • Support residents in activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Ensure the delivery of compassionate and respectful care in line with the organization’s values and standards.
  • Report and document resident progress and any changes in health status.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Completed AQF Certificate III relevant to the position.
  • Proven experience in exercising own judgment and initiative in the day-to-day execution of a position.
  • Experience in the provision of a direct care service in a health-related field.
  • Experience in dealing with aged, frail or disabled persons.
  • Experience in the use of computer packages e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel.

  • National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups required for this position (E.g. aged care employment or work involving vulnerable clients)
  • Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A
