Overview

The Digital Lead is accountable to the Executive Director, Finance and Business Services, Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network (BHFLHN) for the development, implementation, management and optimisation of digital strategies and maturity across BHFLHN that align with the strategic vision and objectives of the network.

The Digital Lead will be responsible for the development and implementation of a Digital Health Strategy for BHFLHN that identifies key requirements, improvements, resources and delivery timeframes to support the evolution of digital health to meet service, clinical and operational needs across the sites and services of BHFLHN.  

The role will also be responsible for:

  • delivering digital and telehealth solutions, strategic planning, leadership and management of digital initiatives including clinical information systems to enable operational effectiveness across the continuum of care, leading to improved patient outcomes and consumer services across BHFLHN, as well as accountability for the delivery of business information and intelligence to business units across the network. 
  • initiating and managing projects and programs including leading the design, development and implementation of digital health technologies, data integration and other initiatives to deliver digital and telehealth capability and maturity across BHFLHN.
  • ensuring digital and telehealth solutions also align to the Digital Health Strategy for SA Health, and transformational programs relating to deploying virtual care to support to help manage health care capacity.
  • strategic and operational management of the relationships between BHFLHN, Digital Health SA and external support vendors.
